It decompresses high-acuity areas, reduces avoidable admissions, and improves patient flow and experience.

  • Rehydration & electrolyte correction: viral gastroenteritis, heat illness, mild AKI risk without red flags
  • Infectious disease: outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT), first-dose observation, cellulitis without sepsis
